Well, I didn't think it was quite THAT bad... My title for todays blog would have been "Birds (and Butterflies) of a Feather). As of yesterday we were all still trying to catch up on sleep, girls still waking at all hours, but we'll get there!
So, there is a neighborhood peacock and my Mom just told me she thinks it's mating season. That said, we have learned one thing: mating peacocks don't sleep! They have a very loud mating call and they call all night! The girls think it's the coolest thing and Madelyn has now learned that it's a peacock, not a silly cock. He walks up and down the street and even put up his tail feathers for us as we pulled out of the driveway.
After our peacock watching we decided to go to Butterfly World, a live butterfly habitat. For those of you (all of you) that know the girlies, you know that Madelyn is our bug girl, and bugs are kryptonite for Logan, especially flying ones! Despite that, it was fun. After our butterfly adventure, we stopped in wine country for some lunch. Lunch was delicious, but for two little girls running on fumes and who eat even less here than they do at home, it was a disaster -- hence Wa's title. And add to that, traffic on the way home. Oh well! We all actually slept GREAT last night, first good nights sleep since we left CA. Today we are going to the Aquarium at the Waterfront. Am going to attempt a photo upload at some point too...
Awesome! Love hearing about your outings - from where ever they come :)
